The Rules of the Game

The Rules of the Game

I love to play games. I think when we want to learn something new, learning it through playing a game is so much easier — and way more enjoyable. What if I could teach you a game that could radically change your life? One that would allow you to experience more of your aliveness, your innate Wisdom? One that would allow you to have more fun, find the solutions you need when you need them and feel better in your day-to day-life? (Oh and be thinner, have better sex, get the promotion and be richer?) This Intelligence is built in, by the way. We all have it.

Who Are You?

Who Are You?

Do you know who you really are? Do you know what you're made of? Do you know what you're capable of? Most people don’t seem to know who they really are. I've discovered that most people think they are the stories they create about themselves: I am shy. I am anal. I am ugly. I am a workaholic. I am obsessed with working out. I am disciplined. I am a procrastinator.

Is It Simple To Be Human?

Is It Simple To Be Human?

What I am beginning to see about creativity is that it is the most natural, effortless experience in life. It is happening all around us at all times. Life itself is a creation. I am a creation. Every breath is a creation. The rose, the bearded iris, the purple lilac, the dandelion, the crab grass are creations unfolding, moving through life. The dinosaur was a creation that no longer exists as was the woolly mammoth. I wonder what animals are being created now, if any? The shark seems to be a creation that has lasting power.

The Booby Prize

I am a hot mess. I don’t know what really caused it. Was it the kids walking in my room while I was on work calls? Was it the fact that my daughter wanted to have a conversation about race with me on my 10-minute break and she got pissed because I was not responding the way she wanted me to? Was it the fact that I am jealous of people getting brilliant ideas and I feel like I don’t? Is it because I have a sick dog and my son is pissed at me because he can’t bring his puppy over? Is it that I feel like I am a sucky coach? Was it the kindness of Dr. K.? I don’t know.

What Do We Listen to in Times Like This?

What Do We Listen to in Times Like This?

Recently I had an experience that taught me about the difference between judgment and noticing. Something happened, and I felt like I was in the wrong. I immediately started beating the crap out of myself. I didn’t do something I thought I should have and the mental 2x4 with nails came out. So, at first, I was judging myself. You can see that, when you read it on the page. However, in that first moment, when I was judging, I suddenly realized that I can’t tell the difference. The judging voice THINKS it’s noticing.

We All Have It

We All Have It

I made myself available to feel the truth. I wanted to feel it. The intellect can never get to it; that’s like a dog trying to catch its tail.‍So how can I set up circumstances so that someone else has that same moment? ‍In fact, you already have it. We all have it. That’s the big joke. We try to go find it from somebody else because we think we don’t have it, but we all have the same access, the same love.‍The best chance I have of reminding you of that is being in that energy with you and pointing you to it, just as Michael and Dicken did for me.‍ All you need is one moment.
